IPPAI
presents a conference on

" How to Maximize Profits through Energy Efficiency "

May 06, 2008, Hotel Shangri La, New Delhi

Subject: Invitation to participate at the conference

Dear Sir,
Greetings from IPPAI!

We are pleased to inform you about our upcoming conference on  'How to Maximise Profits from Energy Efficiency', scheduled for May 6, 2008, at the Shangri-La Hotel, New Delhi.

We are pleased to inform you that we have eminent speakers from Senergy Global, DSCL ESCO, SGS India, BMR Associates, CERC, BEE, TERI, and E&Y, amongst other organizations.

Industry leaders need to have a clear vision of how emerging technologies and policies are an integral part of their business success. It is inevitable that the need for emissions reduction will have growing significance in policy and regulation world wide in the years to come; therefore, the carbon footprint of a company will increasingly affect its financial performance. Those industry players that embrace efficient technologies will be the ones to gain and lead future growth. At our forthcoming conference, we will focus on how Industry can profit from the use of emerging low emission technologies.

Energy efficiency is not just saving power, but also, selling that saved power profitably, and, availing of CDM benefits. For the first time, at the upcoming IPPAI conference, we will be discussing the UI mechanism, as a concept that interlocks all the benefits of energy efficiency, and therefore, acts as the biggest potential driver for investing in efficient technologies.

The switch to efficient technologies can result in an increase of power output/availability, which can be fed into the grid at a profit under the UI Mechanism.  At our conference we will explain how power can be dispatched without a schedule under this mechanism. Other key discussions will include; hi-efficiency sugar cogeneration, potential of investing in ‘green projects’, and carbon trading possibilities.

With increasing pressure to combat global warming, various financial institutions and businesses have created provisions for financing investments in efficient technologies and fuels. At our Climate Change Series conference, members of such institutions will be present to highlight opportunities available.

We look forward to your participation in our upcoming initiative; should you be unavailable, do inform your colleagues about this important event.

Please find enclosed conference brochure and delegate registration form for your kind perusal.

Sincerely,

Shatakshi Chaudhry

Vice President
