is an independent non-profit organisation providing a neutral forum for
discussion and examination of policy and regulatory issues, critical to
development of the Indian infrastructure specially power and oil &
gas. |

IPPAI
was established in the year 1994, soon after the private sector was invited
by the government to participate in the power sector. Since its establishment,
IPPAI has been an interface between all stakeholders in power, oil &
gas & other infrastructure sectors including policy makers (both at
central & state level), electrical utilities, financial institutions,
power deveopers, Indian & multinational Companies, equipment suppliers,
EPC contractors & consultants. |

IPPAI's
initiatives are focused on policy,strategic, financial, legal, regulatory
& technical issues in the power, oil & gas and allied sectors. |

IPPAI,
over the last few years has conducted over 100 workshops, round tables,
energy summits & international conferences featuring a wide range
of subjects from financing, regulation, transmission & distribution
,policy initiatives, enviornmental concerns & consumer concerns by
NGO's. These have yeilded a wealth of data & information on how to
tackle these issues and also reccomendations evolved from these have been
forwarded to the policy makers at various levels. |
